From enquiry to handover
Four steps, the same for every project. The scope is written down before anything is built, and you see the software working at every milestone.
- 01
Enquiry
You describe the problem. We reply with questions or a first assessment.
- 02
Scope
A written scope with milestones, so both sides know what gets built.
- 03
Build
Work in milestones, each one shown to you working.
- 04
Hand over
Code, documentation and deployment. Maintenance if you want it.
1. Enquiry
Use the enquiry form or write to us. Describe the problem in your own words: what should the software do, who will use it, what exists today and whether there is a deadline. Incomplete is fine. We reply by e-mail with questions or a first assessment of how we would approach it.
2. Scope
If the project is a good match, we write a scope. It describes, in plain language:
- what gets built, and what is deliberately left out of the first version;
- the milestones and what you will be able to see working at each one;
- where the software will run;
- cost and timeline.
Work starts when both sides have agreed on the scope.
3. Build
The software is built milestone by milestone. At the end of each one you see it working, not a status report, so feedback and decisions happen early, while they are still cheap to act on.
4. Hand over
You receive the working software, its source code, documentation and the deployment. Maintenance and further development afterwards are optional and agreed separately.
Hosting and operations
Where the software runs is part of the scope. Hosting and day-to-day operations can be arranged in collaboration with h4me.net, or we deploy on infrastructure you already use.
